Kieran is an accomplished and successful security and privacy professional with strong technical, security, privacy, people management and operational background. He has a proven track record of building and managing teams and managing business technology solutions through the development of strong relationships with project teams, vendors and key partners. Key to a successful career has been diligence, attention to detail, openness and the ability to get the job completed to the highest standards possible.
Prior to setting up KM Security Consulting Ltd. Kieran was Head of Group IT Security for Bank of Ireland for 4 years and prior to this worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Dublin for eight years within their Advisory Consulting practice.
While at PricewaterhouseCoopers Kieran managed the firms IT Security, Infrastructure and Data Protection practice specialising in delivering and advising many clients on managing their IT Security.
Kieran specialises in helping organisations define their IT and Cyber Security strategy and help align this strategy with the organisation's threat profile and risk appetite. Kieran also helps organisations to define their IT and Cyber Security service offerings, including the service offerings which are provided by suppliers and third-parties.
Kieran specialises in delivering security, risk and privacy consulting and delivery services to customers in the areas of Security Strategy and Planning, Security Architecture, Information Risk Management, Data Leakage Protection, GDPR, Data Privacy, Security Improvement Programme Design and Delivery, Security Risk & Compliance, Security Assurance and Security Awareness.
Kieran holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Applications from Dublin City University and an Advanced Diploma in Data Protection Law from the Honorable Society of King's Inns.
